The Black Health Insurance Consumer

89% of the Black population has access to health insurance, with many individuals and families being covered through group policies provided by employers or organizations, as well as through individually purchased plans.  Blacks are also more receptive to advertising that targets them directly and are always looking for ways to stay healthy, which highlights the importance of ensuring that the African American community has access to necessary healthcare services.
